“BARTEL Tim (Timothy) Douglas of Langley graduated to higher service July 21, 2008 at the age of 54. A husband, father, almost grandfather, pastor and life long learner. Tim will be lovingly remembered by his wife Cynthia, children Jon, Katie, Lisa, Jeremy and Andrew.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday July 30 at 1:00 p.m. at Cedar Grove Baptist Church 10330-144 St., Surrey, BC (map).

Summer has begun and I’m sure many of you are already away on vacation but I thought I’d send a short update regarding our summer programs.

1. Soccer Camp July 21-25   There are 6 more spots left.
2. Weekend services; Sat. night and Sunday 10 am.  C-Crew classes in both services throughout the summer.

   This weekend, July 5/6 is family communion. C-Crew and YAGOH will sit with their families and participate in communion and then will be dismissed to their classes.

3. Wednesday drop in days. Starts Wed. July 9th.  All church and community children welcome.  9:30-12:30
   Crafts, games, snack, lesson ( similiar to VBS) and then at 11:30 children will meet in sanctuary for worship songs.  Around 12:00, they will eat lunch together until parents pick them up at 12:30.  Child brings their own lunch but we provide the snack.

   
   

   Suggested donation;  $5 but no cost if not in one’s budget or if you end up bringing all the neighbourhood kids with you, don’t worry about paying for them all.

   There is no registration but you will sign in your children each day you bring them.  If bringing guests with you, please find out from their parents if they have any food allergies or medical issues we need to be made aware of.
