Psalm 107 - A Calvary Psalm

Psalm 107 has a simple yet wonderful pattern to it and serves us well when we imitate it.  We can do this as a group, as a family or on our own.  Pastor Dave take us through Psalm 107 were the Psalmist tells of The Problem people faced, their prayer of desperation, how the Lord dealt with the Problem, an exhortation to praise and thanksgiving, and a principle learned tor Promise given in Psalm 107

Prior to the message, Evelyn Boettcher shared a testimony about what God was doing in and through her during her summer internship with the children’s ministry. Following Evelyn, Stephen Dudley shared his testimony about how he came to fully commit his life to Christ.

Psalm 137 - How to Deal With Anger

Chris Price shared a message he titled “How to Deal with Anger” from a very difficult scripture, Psalm 137. This genre of Psalms is often called imprecatory. Perhaps the best biblical definition of imprecatory prayer might be the following: a last resort appeal to God for justice. In this message, Chris attempts to reconcile the inspiration of scripture, the justice of God and call for us to be bearers of the message of reconciliation towards those who are the enemies of God. How are we to understand the difficult things being stated in this Psalm? How does the scripture teach that we to resolve our anger?

Chris also refers to several other scriptures: Eph 4:26, James 1:18.

Jodi Bruneski also shared her testimony this morning, but unfortunately we were unable to capture the audio. :-(

May God bless you and reveal His will to you as you listen.

Slideshow of Ethiopia

On August 17, 2008, Eunice Erickson shared some reflections on thoughts about her time in the missionfield in Ethiopia.  She had a slideshow of images from Ethiopia to share which we were unable to show during the service.  Also, we apologize, but while attempting to show the slides, the computer capturing the audio crashed so we don’t have the audio of her message.

NOTE: To view the video fullscreen, click the “play now” button, then right-click on the video screen that comes up, then select “zoom” and “fullscreen.”
