• Did anything stick out to you in the text or in the sermon?
• What is the greatest barrier to joy in your life? How does the Gospel address it?
• How are you personally ‘partnering in the Gospel’?
• Verse 6 says, “He who begins a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus”. Do you think a true Christian can lose their salvation? Why or why not?

• The scripture says to cast all our anxiety on God which gives us permission to pray all types of prayers about our relationships, our finances and our jobs. Examine Paul’s prayer in verses 9-12. If you have time also see the prayers he offers in Eph 1:15; Eph 1:20; Eph 3:14-21; Col 1:9-13; 1 Thess 1:2-4.
• How does Paul’s praying differ from ours and what can we learn from Paul about prayer?
